Kingdom Calm Card Deck for Kids

The Kingdom Calm card deck is a colorful tool for children, created by Brianna Rose with vibrant illustrations by Nicole Jane De Barber, designed to assist children in learning practices that help to regulate their nervous system and promote emotional well-being.

The card game is packed with 56 simple mind-body exercises that offer children the opportunity to develop autonomy and self-regulation in a playful way.

The cards are color-coded into three categories, each assigned dominant emotional states. This way, the child can choose the correct card associated with the emotion they are feeling. For example, blue and green cards are best suited when the child is nervous, yellow cards when worried, and red cards when overwhelmed.

This card game was developed by the same publisher as Hack Your Nervous System: Brianna Rose, LMHC, and RYT. Her intention is to promote connection and co-regulation – to strengthen a child's understanding of what they need to calm down, not only by practicing the exercises in the card game but also by experiencing how the emotions and nervous system of their caregiver regulate along with their own.

Kingdom Calm has two goals: to increase the child's ability to treat themselves with love and compassion when dysregulated, and then to move forward with the ability and willingness to connect with the caregiver and the world around them with the same feeling of love, compassion, and centeredness.

The 56 fun and kid-friendly illustrated cards offer practices that are easy to follow and give kids the opportunity to develop autonomy and self-regulation in a playful way.

The cards are color-coated into three categories with dominant emotional states assigned to each. This allows the child to pick the right card associated with the emotion they are feeling. 

This deck was created with the intention of promoting connection and co-regulation—improving a child’s understanding of what is necessary to calm
